Default Bike Shelters?

I need something more substantial than a simple bike cover, and I'm looking at "shelters". Does anyone have any experience with these?

CycleShell: http://www.cycleshell.com/
or
Speedway: http://www.speedwayshelters.com/

Any others? Any advice? Recommendations?

Much appreciated,
JR

I had cycle shell for 2 years and it worked fine. Problem is it is not secure. When you take bike out better have it tied down or the wind will reak havoc. Forget it being portable....once you put it together you will understand. Portable to me means easy take down and easy set up.

Default Keeps bike dry?

Thanks bama - much appreciated.

I had a Nelson-Rigs cover for a while - kept the bird crap off, but was about a waterproof as a bedsheet. Currently have another cover that is actually waterproof, but I find the entire bike is covered with a layer of condensation after a day of steady rain.

I'm trying to keep the bike dry - will a Cycleshell or similar keep the bike dry?

Are there any regular style covers that actually keep a bike dry?

Moisture will be your biggest enemy unless you can get it into a more permanent structure. Even a small shed might prove better. And sometimes they aren't too bad cost wise, if you have the room.

Check out:thebikebarn.net. I have the standard model with their heater. Works great here in west, central Florida. Heater keeps air circulating to prevent moisture build-up. I have it secured to the ground, so far no problems with the wind. They will negoiate prices.

Default Thanks All!

Thanks All!

I found a Cycleshell "Cruiser" size on Craiglist, and bought it. It's just the right size for the Road King with the windscreen on, and small enough to fit the corner where I keep the bike. It's perfect!

Thanks again,
