You're covered. Cleaning the effected area neutralizes the corrosive fluid.

You're ok. The stuff is very slow acting.

I'm glad my bikes are DOT 5 systems. No worries on paint damage.

I had a little drip from the master cylinder onto the tank a while back. I wiped it off then washed the affected area and was good to go. If it would have damaged the paint, it would be showing by now. You be ok.

Default ALL dot fluid is corrosive

Anytime you work with dot fluid have a spray bottle with rubbing alcohol, anywhere dot drips or spills, whether it be @ the master cylinder, caliper or, any painted or chromed surface. Spray rubbing alcohol on the effected area. the alcohol will cause the dot to bead up. continue cleaning untill no more beading! Because it could take days or months, depending on the quality of paint or chrome, alchohol is the only recommended neutralizer for dot. Also do not scrub the area! you will rub fluid into the pores, and could instantly damage the integrity of the surface. Ie. see paint on the rag! Also, cover caliper and pads with a rag so not to contaminate either, brake pads, or rotors! the raw materials will instantly be compromised! See, squeaky brakes.
