How do you lube the trottle cable and with what type of lube?

Since nobody is answering you I'll tell you what I do, right or wrong. Take the assembly apart next to the throttle where the cables go into. I just use what ever I have PJ Blaster, Liquid Wrench, WD40 or whatever, use the adapter that goes into the push button on the can, and slowly squirt the oil down into the cables. It takes a little while but it eventually works it way down. There is a adapter I've seen before just for this but have never picked one up.
I do this about once a year and run about 12k miles a year rain or shine and have not had a problem yet.

Dri slide in the end of the cable. Take apart the switch housing and squirt a few drops in the cable. Reassemble.

I hang mine up and use 3 in1 oil. Let the oil works it's way down the cables. It takes sometime, just leave them over night

I use Rem Oil. I just crack the control housing a tad, insert the little red extension tube, and squirt a bit in where the cable comes in the housing. The oil will find it's way down the cable. It's worked good for the past 10 years/76k miles.

I use Bel-ray 6 in 1 all purpose lube. It has a detergent in it that cleans the cable as well as lubing it. Works good.
