Default Tranny drain plug washer

Manual says to replace the washer when you change tranny fluid. Can I use the old one a couple of times? 2002 883 Sportster, doing my 5000 mile change. Bike has 4800 on it now. Thanks for any response.

Lots of folks reuse drain plug o-rings and such a couple of times. However, I always go by the premise of it being cheap insurance to replace it every time.
