i installed new grips. throttle worked fine then started sticking . i opened up housing .friction shoe was sideways causing it to jam. i installed it this time with the curve so it contours with the shape of the grip simillar to this )) i read a post in this forum that this is wrong. that it should be back to back similar to this)( . please no jokes.i asked this on another forum and was told try this>>>() my reply to him got me banned for life ;;;;;thanks bob ps it seams to work great now but may be dangerous..if wrong

 

The throttle friction shoe is only used to apply tension on the throttle with the thumb screw if you want to use the "poor mans cruise control" (i.e. lock the throttle open at a certain point going down the highway). It should be positioned in a contoured fashion the way you have it.
