i have a 05 roadking with a ultra classic seat on it, and i have bad tail bone pain when i ride more than an hour, i have tried the mustang seat and it did not help, stock seat sucked to o. has anyone tried the roadsofa seat by saddlemen? need help with this... 05 roadking glacier white pearle pc3 fuelpack rinehart true duels lots of chrome

I would guess that it is more a problem with your seating position, then your seat. You probably couldn't ride your bike around the block using my SE seat, without being in agony.
I have read complaints about how terrible my style seat is for comfort, but I have no problem with it at all. I have a Sundowner also that I put on when the wife rides, but I always switch back to my SE seat when riding solo.
Have you tried moving your handlebars forward/aft a bit. That might be enough to change your seated position and change how your butt rests in the saddle.

Try Mean City Cycles for seat work. Awesome guys. They will rework your stock seat to your needs and like's. They can adjust the seat height up or down and back or forward and to your weight,I just sent mine off today. Check out their website and the reviews here on this site. I found out about them last week here on this site, people are raving about them. Won't hurt to look, and a whole lot cheaper then a new seat and get a softer ride, Tom

 

I have had of saddlemans seat but regular explorer seats ,one for a e-glide and one for a fxr . Best production seat for me by far. saddlemans seat are designed not to give hotspots and are separated at the rear of the seat so it would pull when you load the seat. I to hate the stock seats hd has on bikes. ,just kills my lower back.

 

I had my stock seat re-stuffed with miracle foam by Bar Enterprises in California. It works well at temps over 70*F and literally absorbs all the vibration out of the seat transferred by the frame. I find that I can ride 3x as far with less fatigue.
