PLEASE don't delete this! Im just asking if there's any reason to get a Clymer manual for my ride vs the Harley manual I already have. The HD manual is a bit vague and horrible on cross references.
If you think the Harley manual is vague, then you REALLY don't want the Clymer.
Actually, I always thought the factory manual was pretty thorough.
Are you talking about the owners manual, or the big 60.00(8 1/2 x 11) service manual?
OK, The Clymer manuals can be pretty generic. HD is much more model specific. One thing for sure, if you find something you don't understand, There's lots of folks here with plenty of experience who will answer your questions.
Yeah...it's just a punk to be in the middle of something and have to come to a forum and ask a question.
To be honest, I'm a complete novice when it comes to HD. I have wanted one since I was 17. 36 now. Could finally afford a used one so I jumped on it. Thing needs a **** load of "little" stuff and with it all so foreign to me every task is a chore
anyone know a cool dude in Orange County CA that'd want to help a NewDude learn his bike?
hd service manual and if possible get the parts book..
remember internet hd stores...20% off and no tax with some places like surdyke hd, chicago hd and zanotti hd
took the bike for a ride...rear brake still mushy. Came home, bled again til nothing but purple fluid (the new stuff) was coming out, and still kinda spongy. Anyone else have that curse where nothing goes back together the way it was, ever?
I have read Clymer manuals, and I have the HD manual for my RK... I don't have the Clymer for my HD, but I do for my Honda. After having the Clymer for a few months, I invested in the Honda factory manual.....
Factory manuals are the best way to go... no matter if it is for your cage or your scoot...
