Default J&M Audio = Painful Ears

I have the J&M CB audio system, and end up with my ears hurting after about a half an hour of riding due to the speakers pressing against them - anyone have this problem and come up with a solution
Thanks.

Every helmet I've owned (3/4 and full-face) caused similar problems regardless of the headset installed including the J&M.

My solution involved cutting the helmet's hard foam lining until the speakers were recessed enough so as not to touch my ears.

All disclaimers to the Helmet Police apply...

Use a half helmet. Add a piece of Velcro to the "V" strap area next to your ears, and put the speacker on that. NO prassure, and you can still hear it well. Wife does this with her J&M, and runs her MP3 player thru it. Make sure you use the Soft part of the velcro on the helmet. Otherwise that stuff will scrub your ear like sandpaper.

I do the same thing for my Ultra headset and again, I can wear it all week with no issues
