My motor puked some(a lot) of oil after sitting for a long time. The oil got on my belt and caused it to chirp real bad. I thought it was the primary or something. I gunked the motor to try to find the oil leak and i oversprayed onto the belt and thought I should do the sprocket too. Clean belt and no more squeak.

Oh yeah, chapstick on the edges of the belt works too...

I thought I had the same problem, belt chirping, turned out to be rear axle bearing going out instead.

Or maybe take the parakeet out of the saddlebags!
