Default chrome switch caps

Hi,

I've just installed hte chrome housing kit and chrome switch caps. I can't put the cruise control caps right in place. I think one just need to push, but they don't go far enough. Is there a trick ?
Thanks

Default RE: chrome switch caps

There should be a small metal shim in the cavity that accepts the switch stem, be sure that is in place. It does just push on though.
