how to use an impact wrench. as far as actually using it i'm ok with, it is using the compresser to torque the bolts i know stupid but i'm jsut learning to wrench on my own bike and i know its done right. help with that ??.
yea, i would back the air pressure down on the impact wrench when tightening, then do final torqueing with a good torque wrench according to service manual specs. can't go wrong that way. impact gun will just tighten as much as it can until it breaks something, unless it's throttled back or your real good with the trigger. good luck and buy the sevice manual for your bike. it'l come in handy for do-it-yourselfers.
Impacts are great for quick bolt removel, also for quick assembly. When assembling you must make sure the bolts are started and the air pressure/ torque adjustment is low to prevent over tightning.Use a torque wrench for final tightning.
