RE: pick it up!!!
Go to j & s jacks heavy duty cycle lifts website......Best motorcycle jack/ lifton the market in my opinion....Cost a few bucks more, but your bike will be 100% stable, no straps required etc....No special stuff needed for DYNA model bikes etc also.....Ain't never read one negative thing bout j&s jacks, but LOTS of negative things bout sears jacks etc.....The pics in website will make you want to get one ! They advertise on this forum also..good luck

Thunder, just bought one of the Sears lifts today. Bought the $69 dollar version and it seems ok for my softail custom. I don't think the bike will fall off but still used traps to move it around in the garage. Sure does make cleaning much easier, especially the wheels. Hope this helps.

i have a sears red lift and it works great. no stability problems. suggest you strap it down when rolling around on jack, just in case, no need to strap down when washing. only thing is clearance under bike. sears red jack lowers to 5 1/8 inches. my 06 road king is 5 inches off the ground, have to ease it under just right and it fits fine or you can put jiffy stand on a piece of wood to gain that little bit. jack raises smoothly locks in place at different heights and best of all lowers smooth as well. attack from air filter side, align it up, check that jack pads stick out on both sides about 3/4 inch and all will be well. no need to hold on to bike as it will rest on pads and catch itself on the way up and on the way down. and for gods sake make sure the jiffy stand is down. yellow sears jack lowers to about 3 3/4 inches so if you need a lower clearance keep this in mind.
