I don't like jacks cause they block oil pan
My J&S jack has a drain pan. So I jack it up, drain all three, refill all three. Clean, inspect and replace reusable oil filter. Done.

Got focused on the "Draining" aspect of this topic. Forgot about the "Filling" aspect.........

I bought the Harbor Freight Bike front tire chalk/holder a few years ago. It held my FatBob front tire with no problems and easily holds the front tire of my '20 FatBoy also.

Don't know what it costs today, but it was well worth the cost at the time and is still in use today (years later). No failures to hold any of my bike yet (see below).

P.S. don't forget to have the straps ready to secure the bike in the chalk.

Just gonna throw this out, sometimes you can be creative with two ratchet straps. One on each side anchored to a post or even two vehicles.

Bumpers, tow hooks, eye bolts to building posts, or even a big sheet of plywood. Ride the bike on and ratchet it down at angles. Trees work too... use your imagination.

This thread reminds me of a situation many years ago ... We were headed for Indy for the 500 ... It was bad weather ... One of the guys had a 500 Honda that developed a miss ... We pulled into a 25¢ car wash ( ya, that long ago ) and proceeded to check it out ... Once cylinder was cold .. We messed with it a bit finally pulling the rocker cover plugs out to get a view ... One of the rocker arm adjusting screws was missing ( not there ) ... We unloaded the bike, took off gas tank, laid the scooter down on its side then picked it upside down ans started shaking it ... Pling. plop, out falls the rocker screw and lock nut .... How's the song go ... "Back on the road again" Yep as @brakeless says, do whatever it takes to get it done ":>)

If you don't have, or won't buy a jack, drain the fluid, take off the cover and have a friend sit on the bike holding it upright while you fill the primary.
