07UltraGuy isn't far off. There's another alternative method and that's drilling and tapping either your risers or the top clamp for set screws. Lot's drill the risers on the headlamp side so the set screws can't be seen.

I have done this many times back in the 70's when building old school choppers using a 1/4" chrome acorn nut and threaded studs.
