I'm willing to admit I don't know if they fixed the issue or not. If they did, great. But I've also seen a lot of independent tests conducted on filters. Mainly because I'm curious. IMHO, the only thing good about K&N is their marketing. Every time a K&N product is measured against the competition, it falls short. I think they're over rated, and I just won't run their products.

Yeah, thanks. Got lots of good advice from members here. TBH, I would never have thought of the self-tapper thing. Very simple and also very effective.

I find it easy to go to the dealership and buy a filter there. The black one gives me an extra 25 hp and makes my oil smell juuuuuust right.

Yeah, well....everyone knows the chrome is for show and not go...lol.
