Bad news spreads like wildfire.. Good news spreads like molasses.

In this case, there was a KnN failure of one particular filter. I'll agree 100% with what motoAmerica did until they figured out the issue. The problem is that the stigma still seems to persist..

Risk catastrophic failure?

Bull$hit.

The filters in question have been gone for many years.

There was no reason for your Dick response, but after reading your other posts in this thread it is evident that the reason you came into the thread was to be a DICK, and spread BS.
Well the filter seems was banned but yea him being a dick was uncalled for.
I have used many a K&N filter and never had a problem.
Then most of us weren't on a race track.

Google up KN-204 and you get a lot of people discussing the issue..

If wanting to know what it fits, I use ebay and see what they say.. It fits a lot more than the R1

https://www.ebay.com/itm/375430281944?

Good thing is that EVOs use the KN-170 and TCs/M8s use the KN-171.

I've moved away from KN mainly because they are too expensive and others have the nut on the bottom..

Nah, the dick is in your mirror pal.

I've said already - K&N failures WERE catastrophic failures. And I've already said they claimed to have addressed them. However I ALSO said, they took FAR TOO LONG to admit and deal with the failure. I don't trust companies that don't immediately step up and deal with issues. Oil systems on bikes are far too important. I guess you're just complacent about it. Your call. But the facts remain. Hard to argue with facts, so people like you have to then attack personality.

If you look down further I found that the filter fits a number of bikes but not HD.. If you click on the link, it will display the filter on Ebay and if you scroll down it will show what the filter fits.. Maybe you ought to take a chill pill or do some real research yourself.. Stop relying one what your buddies are saying or your memory..
