Default Heated grips

Used to ride another brand for a few years that had heated grips. Probably the best feature on that one.

Now ride a 2018 FLTU and am considering adding heated grips.

Any advice/thoughts? Wiring already in place?

My first thought is your in NC not that cold but sometimes it is. Anyway I use HD heated grips on my last two bikes worked very good for me.

The lead from the throttle side is already though the bars and under the front fairing. You'll need the H-D aux power cable to get a switched power lead. Next decision is inside or outside handlebar wiring. Obviously outside is much easier to install. Other than those issues and running wiring under the tank it's plug and play.
The H-D heated grips work very well and have a good reliability and service life.

12v heated gloves. Best investment I ever made, and they follow me no matter what I'm riding.

Installation is a snap as well.

I live in FL and use heated grips. I’ll never have a bike without them.

Had them installed on my new Road King along with heated seat. It was a must.

I installed KOSO heated grips. They look better than the HD ones and the button is where your thumb is. Very convenient and they work well on those nights when you didn't bring heated gloves.

Another vote for Koso, Took longer to open up the batwing, than to install the grips and control module. A++++

When it's too cold out, Warm&Safe heated jacket liner and glove liners will keep me toasty.

I have the stock heated grips on my Ultra, I use them when it's below 65-70.
