Default Left rear passenger peg

I have a nagging problem, 2006 Street Glide. When ever i hit a fairly big bump in the road, my left side passenger foot peg folds down. It looks like all that is holding it on is a pin with a snap ring on it. There's nothing to "tighten down" to prevent this from happening. Any suggestions?

put a wave washer in between the peg and the mount.

There's a piece of bent metal in ther to take up the slack. Sort of like a wave washer. Take it out, and give it just a little bit more of a bend. Not much, just a tad. That should fix it.

Had a similar problem with my Kury ERGO-guards (engine guard). They have integrated hwy pegs that fold out, the right one was lose so I used an old fighter jet trick to shim it up. We cut shims out of coke cans to the size required and punched the hole with a paper hole-punch. Kind of cheesey fix to be sure but it was quick, easy and authorized. To be honest, I never thought or heard of a wave washer, looks like a trip to the hardware store is in order.
