Default Squeaky apes

Just got my new 19 RKS delivered today with 14inch gangster apes installed by dealer I purchased bike from. I’m getting an ever so slight movement in the bars which is making a horrible squeaking noise. I can live with the moving but the noise sucks. Wondered if anyone else has experienced this with their apes and if there is a remedy.

They were supposed to have put the good bushings in when they installed so as far as I know that’s done. Any other suggestions would help.

Disregard, I took the whole thing apart and found it was the clamp cover rubbing against the bars. Used a little silicone on the spot and done.

If those bars are wiggling even a little, make sure you grab them down near the clamp whenever you're hauling the bike backwards out of a tight spot or whatever. Otherwise if them clamps ain't tight, you could find yourself with a lap full of apes and floppy bars that won't stay in place.

Honestly any movement now is dangerous. This will wear over time. Unacceptable for bars to be installed this way, especially on a new bike. I'd have em redone - bars should not move.

After looking at them closer they aren’t moving but I can see why so many do, especially carlini’s. The bars aren’t the same round as Harley’s clamp. You can see once you get the cover off the clamp that the clamp is only biting down in a couple spots and not all the way around like they should. I’m sure carlini’s clamp is designed for their bars so in the future if they start to move it will be a Carlini clamp that goes on. Great bars by the way, only regret is going with the 14’s and not 16.
