Default HD Fasteners - Part Numbers

Is there a way to reference HD parts numbers to what the actual faster is? SO if the part number is like 4371 i can look it up and see it is 1/4"-20 x 1" long hex head or something like that?

4371w is a 3/8-16x1-5/8 socket head screw. Not sure that helps...If you get a parts manual for your bike, the hardware is listed.

the service manual and parts manuals are valuable tools every owner needs!! At least you have them on their way....you will find part numbers and sizes. I often replace various fasteners on my bike with stainless. I'll remove the fastener and either go to the local hardware/box store or my local industrial fastener house and buy why I need plus extra. These are handy if you are doing any projects or add on's to your bike.

The Parts Book has an appendix dedicated to providing that very info.
