Default Foggy Windshield

Any tips on cleaning a foggy windshield? There seems to be something on it that's making it not clear.

I believe HD windshields all have a coating over the plastic. Once it goes or gets scratched they are done. I have an old one someone tried to polish. Not pretty.

I realize this thread is almost 3 years old & OP probably solved issue. Just adding my 2 cents for anybody with a foggy/cloudy windshield. So consider this a FYI

Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish works pretty good at polishing up polycarbonate.

I just recently bought a ‘95 FLHT with the original 12” windscreen that the coating had become cloudy. Cloudy enough that it was nearly opaque riding into the sun. It took only a half hour of rubbing on the in-side surface and now it’s fine, not perfect but perfectly useable. I took photos from my phone and I’ll try to upload them later. The foggy/cloudy was from a deterioration of the coating and the polish took that off. Without this coating the windscreen will probably go south again but I’ll squeeze another season or 2 out of it.

Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish also works great for car headlights that have yellowed

I recently bought a new windshield. When I got it, I wiped it down with a prep solution and sealed it in ceramic. I'm hoping it keeps it nicer for longer.
