What about a HDF gathering?

RE: What about a HDF gathering?
I love Memphis, but I wanted to add Gatlinburg into the hat. It's a great town with tons of bars, restaurants and hotels. Right at the entrance of the Great Smokey Mountain National Park. Great riding, central location for everyone from the Mississipi east and close to Jack Daniels for a bourbon tour.

We could also do an East / West thing. For westeners we could meet in Salt Lake, and do a run to Brice, Zion and Arches National parks. Once again, great riding and central for the West. Personally I would even go to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico for a meet. Just love to ride!

I'll be in the DC area in mid April but it'll be on the Hayabusa. There's a busa-bash (apparently) at Deal's Gap the end of that week that I might be able to participate in. I'm doing a 50cc from San Diego to FL that week.
In July I'll be on my way to Alaska, probably on the Harley and that about uses up my allotted getaway time at least for other than weekends (2 or 3 day).
Maybe a local or regional gathering would be better?

Well, getaway time is relative. The job market is tight here and I had to start my own consulting company in order to get a contract. The price is below what I made out east (well below ) but at least I'm working.
Of course any time off is unpaid. I'm running with a cold right now and am at work typing away on various things. Can't take the time off so I'll just pass it around. After all, I got it from someone here
So I told them that I was taking two days off in Jan, 2 in Feb, a week in April and three weeks in July. I just don't get paid for it.
On the plus side, my contact is for 2080 hours (a year) so it just delays the end date of the contract. And the contracting company doesn't get paid when I take days off
