I have an s&s super e carb on a 75 sporty, and it is gushing fuel into carb cover to the point where it is dripping onto motor, any help would be greatly appreciated.

The float level needle isn't sealing any longer. You can download details of your carb from the S&S website, which will show you details and exploded diagram. I suggest you buy a rebuild kit, strip clean and rebuild your carb. The kit comes with all the perishable parts, such as a new needle.

i figured a rebuild would be a good idea, i just bought the bike recently it is a rigid and has been put back to a right side shift so it is no longer stock i am wondering if i do the carb rebuild if my be the jet size may need to be changed as i am not sure what the carb came off of. Thanks for the advice this bike is going to need some work but that is part of the life.
