Default 3 Month Warning my Battery was Dying

FYI
The selection on the speedo would change. I like to keep it where the gear and RPM are displayed. I figured it was normal to go back to the default setting.
The bike started and ran well and gave no other indication of a problem until the one day it wouldn't start. After replacing the battery the setting stays now. I now use a battery tender.
