Have you had your battery load tested ? I'm thinking not. When you put a load on a battery, asking it for voltage, the amount in the battery(voltage) goes down. This could be a sign that your battery is getting weak. Get it load tested to know for sure.

Battery is only 2 weeks old . Was reading somewhere that the terminals in the faring might be bad . I am hoping to get to that tomorrow. Where can i get those terminals.

Is this happening at an idle? Have you had the charging system checked to see if it is working properly? The charging systems don't really charge at an idle. It is not uncommon to see the volt meter drop at an idle because of the brake light or turn signals. Have you checked using a digital volt meter? You may not have a problem. JMO

Is it just the one side? Unless it drops for every light you turn on it isn't the battery. Check and see if your power wire for the blinkers on that side is contacting ground. Use a digital volt meter to check continuity. Of it beeps your grounding.

Are the terminals in the farring just regular connection terminals (replacement would be marine terminals )

harley volt meters a notoriously inaccurate. i checked the voltage at the battery with a hand held meter while i rode. do that, you will see a difference.

Your bike is an Evo. We have Stickies on testing your electrical syatem in both the Evo section and Tech Electrical section, which will help identify if you have a charging problem and diagnose what it is. If it checks out fine then you have a search on your hands, using your multimeter, to chase down any bad electrical connections on your bike. It is over 30 years old and the usual suspects include every ground, plus harness connectors, all of which can corrode and create unwanted resistance.

Thanks for all the ideas. I ran a jumper wire from the battery to the accessorie copper terminal in the faring and all the problems went away. My question now is how to run a relay for that port from the battery. Thanks
