I have a set of 4" slash cut VH slip ons. I have the "quiet" baffles installed but they are still too loud. I am thinking of wrapping the whole baffle (about 2 feet long) in fiberglass to make them quieter. Can this be done and if so how? I can see chunks of melted fiberglass blowing out the back if I don't get some advice on this.
They are probably already wrapped with fiberglass wrap. You may have to go with a different make slip on muffler. V&H are pretty loud.
They aren't wrapped, just a plain metal baffle. I've got the same slip on's. As far as wrapping them, I don't see why you can't. As you know the baffles come out easy. Buy the correct material and you should be fine.

Sounds like the baffles you have are not the quiet baffles.
The Texan hit the nail on the head. I don't have the quiet baffles, but I did wrap my twin slash with glass from a dirt bike repack kit. In fact when I went in and told him what I wanted he said he did same thing and showed me what to do. According to the decibel meter I have on my phone the glass lowered the sound three to four decibels. Just enough to take the edge off.
