Taking the passenger foot pegs off, have them off. But I want to take the mounts off, it has a star screw down the middle of shaft. It may be a T50 not for sure. How do I get that star screw out and what thread is that screw? Thanks for any help!!!

 

You need a long T50 torx bit. I got got a set of three (one was a T50) from AutoZone when I installed passanger floorboard on my 2014.
