Default Speedo and odometer issue

So I just picked up a 96 Dyna today real nice, seemed to run/ride real nice. Got it knowing the speedo was going crazy but didn't realize that the odometer was ****ed as well which I should've known. Anyway if I get the issue squared away (hopefully loose wire or bad speed sensor) anyone know if the odometer will come back to life? Thanks

I have a 96 roadking. mine was doing the same. take your speed sensor out and wipe it clean. if everything works again, plan on replacing it, as this trick only works a few times
