Default Hawk landing on bike

I have a hawk that keeps landing on vehicles in the parking lot where I work. It has done damage to the inside of sunroofs on cars in the past.

I'd forgotten about the hawk until today when someone came in and showed me a picture of the bird on my handlebars.

This is protected, so I can't just shoot the bastard. Anyone ever have any issues like this? Suggestions for how to get rid of the bird without breaking federal laws?

Put up a perch in the lawn there. He seems to be hunting/observing whatever might be in the long grass. Maybe hang some squirrel bits on it.

There are specialized traps available to snare raptors - but you need to be someone that's trained to get the bird, and then care for it for the rest of its life.

Captured raptors enjoy longer lives, thanks to those that care - see here:

I suggest contacting someone from your local chapter before acting to upset the bird.

Thanks,
John

Not really an option. The entire lot, and it's a big one, is stalked by this menace.
