Default S&s 106 big bore kit

I am in the process of ordering a 106 big bore kit I noticed some come with heads and there's another kit with just jugs what's the best way to go with new heads or is it alright if I stick with the stock heads

Russ, check those two kits closely. They may be two different solutions, one of them for use with stock heads, probably with lower CR. There are many kits around, for big twins and also Sporties, designed to boost performance with stock heads, which can flow very well. Changing heads, or porting stock heads, adds an extra improvement in performance, often with additional CR. S&S will tailor a kit to meet your requirements, if you wish, including cams etc.
