Default GPS "NoNavContent" Error

Anyone out there tried to update their GPS map on a Rushmore only to get the "Navsync Nonavcontent" error?
I think the mistake I made was not doing the update by itself before trying to load the map i.e. I bundled the update and map together which confused the system.
Anyone else done this? How did you fix it?
Currently I am liaising with HD Autsralia but they are having issues getting Naviextras to reset my account so the map is not there when I try and download the update. i.e. I need to get the update loaded by itself before downloading the map according to Naviextras instructions (which I didn't discover until after I made the error).
