Default Winter storage

How important is it to store your bike with the tires elevated off of the ground.

+1, my bike is almost 11 years old and during the winter it is parked on a cement floor in my garage and I haven't had any issues yet.

Perfect answer! LOL, however we just moved from MN to FL.....no more worries about storage or flat spots on tires.

Well ...depending on how much moisture/humidity you have in the air in your tires, there is a possibility that they could freeze and not thaw before your first spring ride yielding a most uncomfortable ride. However, after the first stop for a "refreshment" the "problem" will correct itself. Trust me. Would I lie to you.

When you lift the rear tire off the ground, the belt becomes stretched over a period of time because of the constant tension on it.

Replacing 2 tires is less expensive than replacing 1 belt.

Most people are NOT storing their bikes up on their lifts or jacks. It's not necessary. Really!
