I have 2013 Sportster 72 and attempted the throttle adjustment myself after watching 5 YouTube vids. I think I have it right.. It doesn't seem like there is a "science" to it.. Mostly feel and expletive with the throttle.. So more of an "art" vs science. I left a little wiggle room and made sure it snaps back and the stopper touches the back when released.

I have a good local indy mechanic I work with and plan on taking it to him for second opinion. But YouTube can help you out! Not hard need 9 and 10 wrench.
