Started about a month ago, my bike wouldn't turn over when I attempted to crank it, it had gas, had battery, so I called the dealership and they picked it up. Then they told me they didn't see anything wrong with it but got it to crank after several tries, when I went to pick it up, it didn't crank, so they toyed with it some more and got it to crank. So I drove it for 3 days before it didn't crank again, so they came to tow it once again, they said they checked everything inside and out and found 'an oily smelly substance' in the gas tank and asked me if I have been getting gas at sketchy gas stations or if someone may have put something in my tank - I park it in a garage and go to two different very largely used she'll gas stations - anyways, they ran some engine cleaner through, cleaned out the gas tank and filled it with new gas, 1 week later, it's still not starting again - I called and they already know me by first name now, and told me to put some fuel stabilizer in it and it should run....it still isn't... My question is why the hell cant harley figure out what the problem is and does anyone have any idea? They replaced the started and battery to double check that that isn't the issue and still haven't had any luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated! By the way, my bike only has 1500 miles on it.
Call Harley Davidson Milwaukee. Ask for someone in the warranty department. See if you can twist their arm for help and keep mentioning the possibility of them getting you a replacement bike.

That was definitely on my list if I didn't see any other options!! I appreciate it!
If it's not turning over, I don't know why they think fuel would have anything to do it. Sounds like a starter cable or connection to me, maybe the ignition. Fuel doesn't affect the starter.
