Default Tank lift and gas mileage

So I've been reading all the topics on MPG and gas mileage for peanut tanks. Mine is peanut so I'm guessing 2.1 gal?

So if I have a tank lift kit does that DECREASE what I get on full tank since its lifted or does it INCREASE?

Seems like most get avg 80-90 miles on full (which isn't too big of a deal on this island) lol

How high are you going with the lift? You may lose a few ounces with the lift but you won't notice much of a change in MPG unless you change your riding style...

The tank is designed to work as stock, lifting it at the front is an aesthetic thing which IMHO is unlikely to improve access to the fuel inside! The tank as supplied new is slightly raised at the front. If you locate the pipe that supplies fuel to the engine you should be able to see how much of the tank is below that outlet. On such a small tank I doubt if range is affected enough to notice.

I have a 2015 Forty Eight w/peanut tank. I just did a 2" tank lift, coil and ignition relocation.

I never run till empty. I fill up after 55-60 miles and always add 1.4 to 1.5 gallons.

That equates to getting 39-42 mpg or 40 average. I ride moderately aggressive and rev-match my downshifts.

MPG will not be affected by the tank lift. RANGE will be decreased by 7-10 miles overall.
