About to get my 1k service. Going with VH short shots, super tuner, SE heavy breather and dyno. Already ordered the parts scheduled for next weekend. Like the tear drop cover for the heavy breather which I did not order figured I can do that myself anyways. Question is if the bike is not mapped with the AC cover on it will that effect the tune after I install it myself? Understand the concept of a naked cover but I know the bike can only breathe but so much air in anyways correct? That cover cant effect it but so much from what I would understand. Or should I go ahead and get it tuned with the cover on? Thanks for any input.

 

You'll be fine without it.

 

Imagine breathing with the cover in front of your mouth. You will still be able to take deep breaths because the cover does not restrict the airflow.

 

The cover will not have any affect on the tune.
