Default 8 inch mini apes (chumps) on a softail standard

My friend wants to put 8 inch chumps on his 2007 softail standard. I believe the stock bars are 7 inches tall and he wants to replace them because the stock bars are bent. Will the 8 inch bars fit without changing the wires, cables, and brake line? The standard does come with long risers. I believe the risers are 3-4 inch longs.

Thanks for any info.

I've got 12" high FXDWG bars on my FXST with no wire mods. Seems to me I did replace the brake-line though. Clutch cable may be a stretch, but will work. If your friend is only adding one inch, I think he'll be alright...

He should be fine, the general rule of thumb is anything over two inches will need longer cables...
