brake light issue
Ok I have an 02 low rider and last year on my last ride my brake light stuck on like I was hitting the brakes. I talked to a couple of mechanics and they said my switch was bad. Ok so I just replaced the switch and still doing the same thing. My 1st Harley any help would be great.

You have two switches, one on the front brake in the lever housing, the other for the rear brake. Your brake light should work when you use either of those levers. If your brake light is permanently on there are a few things to check.
Start by checking the bulb! If one filament has broken it may have shorted across to the other one, so try a new bulb. If that doesn't cure it, disconnect one brake switch, to see if the light works as it should using the other. If it stays on, reconnect then disconnect the other switch. If that doesn't identify the problem you probably have a damaged wire and the most likely place is under the rear fender, between light and the under seat area. Do you have short shocks? You will need to turn detective and be patient as you check! A multimeter will help.
