Imold, we have exactly the same problem over here! I suspect that most of the Western industrial world does as well. We probably all of us have Chinese stuff around the home that we depend upon, so I chuck in my tuppence-worth just as a reminder that the World has changed around us.
Mrs B and I shipped our Glide below back home to the USA in 2003, to take in the Centenary celebrations. She took a fancy to a waistcoat (OK - a leather vest!) and quickly realised they all seemed to be made abroad. After visiting countless dealers and traders we eventually found one made in the USA - and it fitted! We kept looking and eventually decided it was the very last one. What happened to all the hides off the beef you all eat? No hold on - I think that question applies over here too......

I haven't read all the replies yet, but I tried using *****anese jugs on one of my old Shovel builds. Jug holes didn't even line up with the case holes. Not only were they worthless junk but I had a hard time getting Taiwan Ted to take the boat anchors back for a refund.
No thanks. I'll pay the extra money for better quality parts from now on. Sorry to hear you got stuck with a similar issue...
