Default Stock vs. Floating Rotors

My stock front rotor is warped on my 99 fatboy. I purchased a new set (1 front and 1 rear) of polished stainless rotors as well as some replacement pads thinking it was good to change them both. Then I got to thinking about floating rotors (both semi and full.) Since I just use this as a cruiser, I believe I'll just stay with stock. Just seeing what you folks thought?

I have no idea what you mean by 'semi' in connection with rotors. I use floating all round on my Glide and if you want improved braking there is no reason IMHO why you shouldn't use them on your bike too.

Thank you for the reply. I'm no rotor expert. I remember reading somewhere about the difference between full and semi floating rotors. Perhaps it was a racing article? For now, I've decided to go with stock replacements. Perhaps in the future I will switch. I want to get some miles under my belt first.

Nice glide you have

Thanks! Front rotors are 13" floating type, with 6-pot calipers......
