Wild Hogs

Wild Hogs
I managed to watch the film Wild Hogs last night and ok it was all right and it raised the odd smile but I was disappointed after all of the rave reviews I found on the Internet prior to actually seeing the film.
Is this how PC has affected comedy now ? or is my humour getting hard to find because it did not induce the big laughs that I was expecting.
It may be down to the British sense of humour is wildly differentto the American humour but I have watched quite a few other films from USA which have nearly made me crack a rib from laughing. This film could have gone a lot further with the script and I thought the ending was very lame with the Bad *** Dad turning up and every one going home.
It appears to me that the PC Police may have had an influence on the making of the film because from my experience of biking from 16 years old to 52 years old life is a lot more funny than Wild Hogs portrayed.
I would appreciate your thoughts though !

Interesting... my wife, son and I went to see the movie this past weekend.
My wife laughed the entire movie and my son thought it was great. I, like you, thought that they could have really made it funny with a bit more bite to the script. Not vulgarity, just more realistic dialogue.
Still worth seeing.

I think we all agree WildHogs was never meant to be a movie pointed
towards an academy award. It was pushed as a movie to be looked at
as light hearted with entertainment. I just went to the movie expecting
a few good laughs, and thats what I got...I would pick it up on DVD for
a laugh once in awhile....rated 2 1/2 out of 5, but who cares

Remember this movie was produced by Disney, the humor was only going to be so rauncy.

The slap stick comedy was set up and executed on cue. The actors in the show had way more talent than the script allowed. The director would have been better off letting the actors "run with it".
The moviewas cute but could have been alot funnier and still stayed within a "Disney" setting.

It was funny, but I am a little burnt out on the stereotype of the middle-aged motorcycle rider. We aren't all henpecked and stupid. I laughed, and I saw it with my kids, and gladly it did not go too far in its quest to be funny.
I would like another movie on par with "Worlds Fastest Indian".... That was a good flick!
