Garmin GPS mount slipping
My new Garmin Nuvi is drooping with the vibration of the mount. Has anyone found a way to do something to the ball or socket to make it hold the position better?

I have a 2797 Garmin which is 7 inches and big. I have the mounting system by Leader Motorcycle and it is held very tight with no movement. You might want to look at their mounts. I know you didn't ask that but they do make very solid mounts.

A short piece of a wide rubber band would work. Sounds silly but are you sure you're tightening it enough?
If it's new...did you contact Garmin? You may have gotten a defective mount.

I just tried a different arm that I had and found that the bolt was just a tad to long.. I found a shorter bolt and it tightened right up.
