The folks serving in the AOR really appreciate it too. When it comes around to my time to go back, I'll appreciate all the well-wishes too. They're kinda like prayers, and when the bad-asses are trying to kill us, a few extra prayers might make the difference....

 

They are always on my mind...

I wish them a speedy and safe return...

 

You folks aren't the only ones with guys overseas. We lost six of our boys today, in Afghanistan. On Easter Sunday of all days! [&o] It is like the whole world has gone nuts in the last few years.

 

Sad, but necessary, god bless them all.

During my decades on active duty, I (and so many others) spent many a cold night in a far off land doing what we do. Now I'm permanently retarded, and I'm very concious of those under fire. And - although these words sound so hollow - I really appreciate their efforts. Those that have been there appreciate those that follow behind.

 

Family member recently completed three tours. A helo pilot. New wife and baby. Flys the scouts. Hopefully he will be home for while. If not, wish him well. Great post.
