Pain in the neck
#13
I put a backrest on, it seems to force me to sit up a little better than I would without it. It really did take care of the upper back/shoulder pain.

a couple of vicadin washed down by a six pack generally take care of the aches and pains from sitting in the saddle all day. but after ten hours, you may need to repeat the pain meds.

Thank you guys for all the answers/suggestions.The pain usually appears on longer rides never in city traffic where tension should happen. No,the pain is not wife-derived I can control that before it strikes. This makes me think that the problem lies in the handlebars/riding position,I've sent a second e-mail (hope they reply this time) to Wild1 for further info on their 575s and if they confirm that their bars won't interfere with my fairing mirrors I'll go ahead and order hoping they'll solve my problem.

strange that you suffer this problem now when you had the bike already for a while i assume. Did you modify anything on that bike since before the problem appeared? windshield, helmet, highway pegs?

I ride an '06 Ultra with stock bars and I'm 6' tall.Lately I've been experiencing a sharp pain starting at the base of the neck and going down between the shoulder blades. In your opinion, would changing to different bars solve my problem?I was looking at the WO 575,would these bars allow me to retain the fairing mirrors (I like them) and what about the stock cables?I e-mailed WO but didn't get an answer from them. Thanks
