Well, the results are in. Spent all day at the dealership while they did the 5k service and installed V&H Hi-Output mufflers, V&H Power Dual head pipes, HD stage 1 air cleaner, HD Super Tuner, and did the Dyno Tune.

Final numbers aren't great, but I'm happy with the sound, performance, and lack of heat. Scanner not working right now so all I can do is post the final numbers.

Max HP = 83.31
Max TQ = 101.47

Really happy with the sound, very deep rumble (but also a bit loud-ear plugs may be in my future for longer rides), and lack of heat.

Glad it worked out for ya' Danny. Looking forward to seeing your mods. Sounds like I'll be needing ear plugs also...

I hope not! LOL It is loud, but it's more of a deep tone that carries further than a higher pitched, raspy type, loud. Riding the bike, it's a fairly loud drone that I'll have to get used to. Around town it isn't bad. But out on longer road trips, plugs will probably be used.

How much cooler would you say the bike is now running?

Those are low numbers. You should ask them about it. Ask to talk to the dyno guy.

Noticeably. But, I don't have a temp gauge to determine it. But today I got out and rode it a bit. The temp was in the mid to high 90s with heat index over 100. Riding around town in stop and go traffic, there was a noticeable reduction in the cooking of my right thigh. And tonight the wife rode with me in capris and tennis shoes and said it was much cooler on her too.

I did talk to the dyno guy. He understood that my main reason for doing all this was the reduction of heat, and a little better sound. The air/fuel mixture is good throughout the range. The sound is a LOT better, and the heat is reduced. Power is better than before. So I'm happy with the results. Power wasn't ever a primary consideration. Now if my gas mileage stays the same or only slightly reduced, I'll be ecstatic.
