I came a couple generations after your buddy so not a plank owner. Got my Shellback though. The "Ville" is in mothballs these days.

Before it aged, every tat was new so not sure the point. Only guys from 1960 and before were allowed to ink up??? I can appreciate the art work of most tats but do agree the tribal and Chinese stuff are pretty much the product of a fad. If it's meaningful to your life somehow that's what they're about IMO.

My first few tats were free and done by hand more than 40 years ago, last one I had done a couple of years ago I paid about $500 for it, thinking of getting one more then calling it quits.
But it won't be a Harley logo I can tell you that much.
Now every man and his daughter has them, but back in the day they were different, and so were people. Seeing someone ( average civilian ) with neck tats or full sleeves or tats on the hands is becoming common, back in the daze only hard asses or jail birds had them like that. It used to mean something about the person wearing them, now it means fukk all.

any examples of your own work? getting a forum discount is cool, and i'm always up for saving some cash....but if it's sketchy work then i'd rather pay full price.
