Almost collided with a Lady on a Mobility Scooter.
I went home at luch today to get my bike ...(It was icky in teh morning and they said it might rain...They lied so I went back for my bike )
I'm getting ready to make a right on to the freeway in the outside lane (a second turn in for the HOV lane from the main road, not a turn lane) and though I see the lady sitting there I thought she would stay on the curb since I was the last vehicle in her path.
Nope. She looked me right in the eye just as I started the turn and started across. I had to straighten and stop on a dime to avoid her. She didn't even turn her head to look...thank god there were no cars behind me.

Old people tend to feel they don't have to look where they are going. They feel they have enough seniority on the road that you will adapt to overcome their style. I see it quite often. Back out of the driveway without looking anywhere with the gas mashed down. I pray everyday I will not be like that.

If she just wouldn't have waited until I started to make the turn. [:@]

I want one of them mobility devices so I don't have to walk drunk at Sturgis. If anyone has a "little raskal" for cheap, PM me. I'll put an HD flag on it and wear a "blow up" splint. Hell being from Wyoming I could attach a blow up sheep doll.
