I think they missed the boat. Had they done this at the height of thier popularity they may have sold a lot of bikes. But now...I'm not so sure.

I realize I'm about to step into a shitstorm by saying this. But.........

Why begrudge folks for their successes?

Just my take.
Agreed. I wouldn't call any of them ********. Hell, I bet they're a blast to hang out with. They just had unbelievable marketing people working for them. As for selling bikes, they could care less. They make more off parts, clothing, etc than they will ever be able to spend.

The sad part is that their customs are crap. Someone on here met Billy Joel on the bike they built for him. Apparently Billy Joel ran off a list of about 11 things that were done wrong or just poorly.

BillyJoel is purported to really know his bikes and automobiles. He would know quality, etc.

I heard if you buy a bike from them and it breaks, they send you to a different shop to get it repaired. They dont even fix the bike themselves.

There used to be a custom bike shop that used to be a dealer for OCC. They stopped due to so many problems with the bikes. Brakes, Wiring, Rear Wheel, Motor. He even had one bikes downtube crack after the owner had the bike a week. He said they would never return calls when called about the problems. OCC also had problems with the company their warranties were thru. Did not honor warranties.

well, I sure dont care for most of the bikes they build, and I have heard plenty stories about raging egos and such, but, in the big picture, they brought publicity, good or bad, to the custom motorcycle industry...and I am sure many others have reaped some of the benefits....I mean, would there even be a Biker Build Off show, if OCC didnt bring in the ratings, to the Discovery Channel...

Those guys took advantage of an opportunity to make a buck or maybe millions of bucks. Who can fault them for that? Heck if someone wanted to follow me around while I work, then pay me big money for doing so, I would say let's go. I am not saying that they earn their money the way some people do or that they are good people, I can't comment on that as I don't even know them. All I am saying is that they have a good thing going for themselves, wish I could say the same.
