Fayetteville Rally BBBQ motel rooms
I've been to BBBQ the past four years, but may not go this year. A couple of years ago, the motels along the I49 corridor jacked up their prices and instituted a 3 night minimum. I don't mind paying $150 a night, but we only stay overnight Saturday. We found a motel in Springdale that would still rent for one night only, have stayed there past two years. I just got off the phone with them, and they are doing the 3 night minimum this year. Anybody know a decent motel in the area that is not on the bloodsucker bandwagon? If they all have to have three night reservations, BBBQ is off my list. It ain't Sturgis, they just think it is.

Since you're from Missouri, I'm not telling you something you don't already know but might help someone else ... If you don't mind a few miles to and from, start with motels in Lowell, then Rogers and Bentonville. If no luck there, I'd suggest Siloam Spings to the west or Huntsville to the east. Otherwise a little further north is Anderson MO or even Neosho MO.
It's not that bad a ride to and from Eureka Springs either .. plenty of motels/hotels there .. but not be the best ride if you want to enjoy the nightlife that goes with BBB.
This year is first time back for us in six years .. was there last when our granddaughter was born; daughter and family used moved back to Fayetteville so we get to stay with them.

When I lived in Louisiana we would ride up and tent over night, the American Legion or the VFW (I don't remember which one it was?)was allowing people to put up tents for like $10 a night. If your just going over night it could be a cheap option?

Okay you BBBQ veterans, I'm not going to the event, but am riding down in September just to ride. Is the riding in the Ozarks worth the two days of travel from MN?

Wife and I are headin up from FL panhandle. I waited until June to reserve rooms. Couldnt find anything in Fayetteville or Rogers. Wound up in Siloam Springs...no minimum at Hampton. You might try the casino just across in OK.
