Default I finally tracked down the Perfecto I've been looking for for years.

I've been looking for a Perfecto 125 jacket for a while now. My WTB ads have been running since last year. I finally not only come across the 125 in the size I'm looking for, but it's in the much rarer brown! Dark chocolate. I love brown jackets. I spoke to Schott to authenticate the jacket based on the tag in the coin pocket and other items that are unique to Schott. It's a 1994 vintage and looks practically new.*

I don't usually get too excited over something like a jacket. To me they're tools. I have 6 jackets and only like two of them. My FXRG jacket is a great cold weather and winter jacket. Even after I initially was tepid over it. But over the past couple of years it's acquitted itself well. I have a waterproof textile jacket from Cyclegear that keeps me dry in the rain.*

This Perfecto is something I've wanted for myself. I've had many hobbies and I like having originals and iconic things. I did it with watches, with audio equipment and even my Ironhead. To me, this Perfecto is the same thing. Now I'll have it. It should be here this week.*

Please excuse my ignorance, but what makes this jacket better than the others?

Better in what terms? To me it's not about the Perfecto being the best jacket on the market. Although Schott's Perfecto is a very high quality jacket. It's that the Schott Perfecto is an icon. It's the first leather motorcycle jacket that can trace it's lineage back to 1928. Yet, the brown color is unique but doesn't take away from it being a Perfecto.

When I collected watches I had an Omega Speedmaster Professional. The model that was the first watch worn on the moon. An icon.

I like tube amps. I also like the iconic Grado headphones.

Those are just a couple of examples. All of those are things I do for myself. Most people wouldn't know one watch from another unless it said Rolex on the dial. The same cam be said for audio equipment. When wearing the Perfecto jacket only I will know. But that's the point. My enjoyment of knowing. Plus, it's a damn good looking jacket in brown.

Awesome. When I looked for a jacket for you, they were usually in bad shape, for more than a new jacket.
Post some pics in your new jacket.

Very nice. Reminds me of my old girl, which is in the closet for summer right now.

Besides the fact that Perfectos are some of the best riding jackets ever designed, will only go up in value and comfort, and will generally last longer than we live?

Not much I guess. haha.

That's cool, I'm the same way about things. I know exactly how you feel, its a good feeling when you finally get your hands on it.

Thanks Ron. When it comes in I'll post pictures. The picture above are of the actual jacket.

That's a great looking jacket. The 125 comes with the belt loops but no belt. Now I want to track down a dark brown belt for it. I actually prefer a removable belt. I have one (in black) on my El Camino II jacket. Oh well, I don't use the belt anyway. Plus the side gussets tie up anyway.
